FAQs

REGISTRATION AND PAYMENT 

I’ve filled out a form, but I don’t think the payment went through – is my ticket reserved?

 

Submission of an online registration must include full payment at the time of booking to be considered a firm booking and your place at the event be confirmed. If payment does not go through, then we would recommend trying again and if you continue to have further problems processing your payment please contact us at rob@space-plus.org
 

PRIVACY 

What happens to my personal data once I have booked onto the event or filled out a form?

 

The personal information supplied in connection with this booking will be held by SPACE (part of 14&B Ltd) as a record of attendees and parties expressing interest. By registering for this conference or filling out an enquiry form, the parties concerned are agreeing that the conference organisers may use that personal information to contact them by email, direct mail, telephone or fax, in order to supply information relevant to this conference, or about other conferences, events and opportunities that the organisers are planning and feel may be of interest to them. The organisers may also share this information with its partners and event sponsors in order for them to contact the delegates about other products and services which may be of interest to the delegates. You have the right to object to this processing and, if you wish to do so, you can update your preferences by contacting us at info@builtworldtech.com. CANCELLATION 
 

What happens if I want to cancel or the event gets cancelled?
 

(See below under Cornonavirus to see further details around event changes due to the virus outbreak)
 

  1. Tickets cannot be cancelled by the attendee.

  2. In the unlikely event of SPACE 2020 (the conference) or any of the micro-events being cancelled by the organiser, a full refund will be made. Liability will be limited to the amount of the fee paid by the delegate and there will not be any additional liability to SPACE (part of 14&B Ltd), event hosts or any other individual associated with the event organization.

    c)    In the event that SPACE 2020 (the conference) or any of the micro-events cannot be held or are postponed due to events beyond the control of the conference organisers (force majeure) or due to events which are not attributable to wrongful intent or gross negligence of the conference organisers, the conference organisers reserve the right to reschedule the event within 6 months of the original date.  

     

SUBSTITUTIONS
 

Can I make a substitution for my ticket as I can’t make the event anymore?
 

Substitutions may be made at any time. If you wish to substitute a delegate, you must notify SPACE (part of 14&B Ltd) in writing at the earliest opportunity and at least 24 hours before the event begins. 


CHANGES AND POSTPONEMENT 

I noticed that the dates have changed for your event – what does that mean for me?
 

SPACE (part of 14&B Ltd) reserves the right to make alterations to the conference programme, venue and timings at any time. In the event of it being found necessary, for whatever reason, that the conference is being postponed or the dates being changed, the organisers shall not be liable for any expenditure, damage or loss incurred by the delegate. If by re-arrangement or postponement the event can take place, the booking between the delegate and the organisers shall remain in force. 
 

LIABILITY 
 

What is your position in terms of the views and content expressed at the event?
 

Views expressed by speakers, sponsors and/or exhibitors are their own. SPACE (part of 14&B Ltd) cannot accept liability for any advice given, or views expressed, by any speaker, sponsor and/or exhibitor at the conference or in any material provided to delegates. In addition, SPACE (part of 14&B Ltd) shall not be responsible or liable for any direct or indirect loss or damage of any sort incurred as the result of the services or information provided in connection with the event 
 

INSURANCE 
 

Do I need to arrange insurance for myself or does the event cover this?
 

It is the responsibility of the delegate to arrange appropriate insurance cover in connection with their attendance at the conference. SPACE (part of 14&B Ltd) cannot be held liable for any loss, liability or damage to personal property. 
 

PHOTOS & FILMING 
 

Can I film and take photos at the event?
 

For promotional purposes, photos and video recordings will be taken during the conference. Delegates who do not wish to be filmed or recorded should advise the organisers in writing prior to the event. Delegates wishing to take photos during the event can do so. For any professional photos, filming or interviews you will need to seek the permission of the event organisers before going ahead.


VISA REQUIREMENT 
 

Can the event arrange a visa for me? I need a visa letter to attend.

It is the sole responsibility of the attendee to take care of his/her visa requirements. Attendees who require an entry visa must allow sufficient time for the application procedure. Attendees should contact the nearest embassy or consulate to determine the appropriate timing of their visa applications. 
 

What you need to know in terms of the Coronavirus outbreak and SPACE 

 

Is the event going ahead?

 

Currently we are 100% intending to go ahead with SPACE UK 2020 and all future micro-events and deliver our promises to all the delegates that have booked a place. Our priority is to protect the health and well being of all our visitors, speakers, sponsors and staff so we will remain vigilant and will listen to all experts, government and medical advice.

 

If the situation worsens and we are forced to postpone any of the events to a later date then we will do so immediately and will transfer all sponsorships, tickets etc over to the new date. We will not take any risks on your health and your safety is key.

 

 

What precautions will you be taking at the event to ensure our safety?

 

Our Corvid-19 Precautions and advice:
 

1. Venue and external caters will have completed a risk assessment specific to Corvid-19

2. Venue staff will have completed additional training

3. All food will be served by venue staff to stop cross contamination at buffets

4. No handshake policy, until further notice 

5. Hand sanitizer positioned throughout venue

6. Increased cleaning of communal areas

7. Onsite signage reminding delegates of hygiene recommendations

8. Delegates will be advised not to attend if they feel unwell

9. We may also conduct temperate check onsite, according to prevailing advice
